Uganda

Uganda is famous for its gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, boat tours, forest hikes, and mountain climbing. Half of the world’s endangered mountain gorilla population can be found in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and the volcanic Virunga Mountains.

Along with gorilla trekking, travellers can track the Big Five on a wildlife safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park, see chimpanzees in the Kibale National Park and trace the source of the White Nile at Murchison Falls. There is also a vibrant local cultural scene in Kampala.
