Lynn
Lynn Middelmann

General Manager

ASE Team
Lynn Middelmann
Lynn Middelmann is proud to be a key part of the vibrant team at African Safari Excellence (ASE), where she holds the position of General Manager. Born and raised in the heart of the Great Karoo, in Graaff Reinet, Lynn has always been a farm girl at her core. Her formative years were spent in the Hex River Valley, immersed in the day-to-day life of a table grape farm. While she pursued an academic path in Business Management, her entry into the tourism industry was as unexpected as it was fateful. Despite a brief detour into a different career path during the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Lynn's 14 years of experience and her deep-seated passion for travel and tourism eventually guided her back to the industry she loves.

Lynn sees her journey with African Safari Excellence as more than just a career—it is a conscious choice. The opportunity to unveil the unparalleled wonders of Africa to the world is what excites her the most. She is driven daily by the belief that tourism is not merely about creating unforgettable experiences but also about fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for the continent's diverse and magnificent cultures and landscapes. Lynn finds the pristine beauty of places like the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique and the landscapes of Tanzania particularly captivating, with their azure waters, powdery beaches, and rich cultural tapestry.

Through her extensive travels across Southern and Eastern Africa, Lynn has gathered countless memorable experiences. However, it is the overwhelming sense of awe and tranquility she feels for Tanzania's natural beauty that stands out the most. Whether it is the majestic wildlife encounters or the warmth of the local communities, each visit leaves an indelible mark on her soul. She is continually drawn back, time and again, to experience the pure contentment and peace that, in her view, only Africa can offer.

Kashief Savahl
Kashief Savahl
As an East African Travel Expert & SA Specialist, this born and bred Capetonian started his career as a Travel Desk Consultant before gaining a wealth of experience across various departments within the industry. His journey through the operational side, product development, contracting, sales & marketing, and eventually leading his own direct sales team, has endowed him with extensive knowledge. Additionally, completing a course on South African tourism earned him the title of SA Specialist. The excitement for his profession ignites with a client's vague inquiry, outlining only the available days and interests. It's in the plotting and planning of an itinerary, tailored to perfectly match the client's request and enhanced by personal suggestions to make the experience unforgettable, where his passion truly shines. The fulfillment comes when the meticulously crafted itinerary, once just a concept on paper, materializes into a life-enriching experience that clients share with their loved ones. This, he believes, epitomizes his fervor for tourism and travel.

Living by the motto, “Creating memorable experiences that people can share with friends and family,” whether it's around a barbecue or over drinks, he finds profound satisfaction in his work. While the Great Migration and the Serengeti hold a special place in his heart, the Ngorongoro Crater, with its stunning views, especially from a property on the crater rim, is a personal favorite.

Among his most memorable experiences is witnessing a lion kill in the Kruger National Park, followed by the sight of four little cubs joining the feast. This was soon topped by a leopard sauntering by their vehicle close enough to touch, before settling on a massive sand hill for about 30 minutes—a moment so captivating that they remained transfixed the entire time.
