Temporary Closure of Saadani Airstrip in Tanzania

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority has temporarily closed Saadani Airstrip. The closure is due to airfield maintenance taking place from 6 January to 6 February 2019.

According to Coastal Aviation, the destination has already been restricted from sale during the closure dates, and existing bookings are being contacted by Coastal Aviation’s reservations department to arrange different itineraries.
For existing and future bookings, Coastal Aviation is able to offer flights into Kwajoni, the closest airstrip to Saadani.
